What are different types of self adhesive vinyl?
Self adhesive vinyl is a PVC film that has a sticky back for installation which can stay on most surfaces. It is typically smooth and shiny but is also available in unique textures giving you many options to be creative. Self- adhesive vinyl is easy to print on allowing you to create eye-catching designs or display your business brand anywhere you want. It is usually used to create graphics for advertising, and It can also be used to decorate walls, windows and cars.
- Calendared monomeric vinyl – Monomeric vinyl is an entry level vinyl. Ideal for applications on flat surfaces only this product is generally used for short-term projects.
- Calendared polymeric vinyl – Although it is manufactured the same way as monomeric vinyl, the polymeric formulation features higher quality plasticizers which allows it to be used on slight contours and curves. A good polymeric film has better dimensional stability than a monomeric film. This vinyl can last up to 5 years and can be used for both internal and external applications.
- Cast vinyl – Cast vinyl is softer and more flexible than calendared vinyl. Cast vinyl is mostly used for vehicle wraps or when a premium vinyl is required and will also feature a long lasting life in comparison to the calendared self-adhesive products.
