Joining the team in January 2017, Darren Best came to Ricky with over 25 years’ experience in the textiles industry - his primary focus was on window furnishing fabrics. Within two years at Ricky, Darren stepped into the role of National Sales Manager and has significantly strengthened our sales team and the service we provide.

This week Darren shared a few fun details which allows you to get to know the leading man behind the sales team!  

Describe the Ricky culture:

It is a fun and enjoyable environment to work in, we all get along well, we support and respect each other. I especially enjoy the laughs in the office and when I’m out on the road with the team.

Favourite thing about your job:

At Ricky our customer happiness is extremely important to us. Creating solutions for our customers is one of my favourite things to do; in rare times when we’re unable to work out a solution together, team Ricky and I will always point them in the right direction!


Top tips for anyone trying to break into your field:

Firstly, always do what you say you are going to do, second always listen. Being in sales we sometimes don’t know when to be quiet, listening is really at the core of what we do and ultimately the key to sales success.
