As with anything, there are pros and cons. So, when it comes to working with your staff, is online the best way to do it?

When we’re talking about online or technology when it comes to business, “you’re bringing something new to the table.” Ron says. Going online gives you and your staff more flexibility, independence, comfortability and ultimately results in higher productivity. According to the Australian Financial Review (2022), two-thirds of Australians felt that their productivity and quality of work was better when working remotely.

On the other hand, there are others who are against the change. Ron believes “That’s the challenge for business and management. To try and bring everyone along for the ride." One of the best ways to encourage change in the office is have a practice week and to provide guidance to your staff.

Working online is only the beginning, and it’s not going anywhere. Ron says that “you have to embrace it” working together in the online environment nationally and even globally is the future of work whether some generations embrace it or not.

Yet, face-to-face meetings and in-person business interactions will always be important. For most people, including Ron, this “isn’t going to change” or going anywhere either - “there’s always room for people interaction.”

Do you feel like online is seen as a tool or a hinderance?
